— Work with us —

Enterprise infrastructure software at the intersection of construction, cloud engineering, and AI.

The construction and infrastructure industry manages trillions of dollars of assets across platforms that were never designed to work together. Data is fragmented, coordination is manual, and the cost is enormous — conservatively estimated at $5.6 trillion globally. The sector has operated this way for decades, not for lack of ambition, but because nobody has built the solution.

Utopia Digital built CDE Sync to solve that problem directly. It automates data synchronisation across the major CDEs used on infrastructure projects — with native ISO 19650 compliance, no vendor lock-in, and no custom development required. It's deployed across public and private sector programmes in energy, transport, buildings, infrastructure, mining, aviation, defence, and manufacturing.

That work is recognised at the highest levels of the industry. Utopia Digital is a Microsoft Solutions Partner, an Autodesk Authorised Developer and Official Solutions Partner, a member of the Bentley Developer Network, and part of the Oracle Partner Network. We are partnered with buildingSMART and research AI with the University of Technology Sydney, pushing into new territory not explored before.

Utopia Digital is building the data layer the construction industry never had. We're looking for engineers who want to work where the problems are real and solutions are yet to be discovered.

— We are Seeking —

The infrastructure industry has a data problem. We're the ones fixing it.

We're looking for developers to work on the most meaningful CDE integration problems.

CDE Sync connects the platforms that run major infrastructure projects — Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bentley ProjectWise, Oracle Aconex, Microsoft SharePoint, Procore, Asite, InEight, 12D Synergy, and others — and keeps data synchronised across all of them, automatically. Each platform carries its own metadata schema, versioning logic, and API behaviour. Getting them to interoperate reliably, at scale, and in compliance with ISO 19650, is the problem we've spent years solving.

As a Microsoft Solutions Partner and Autodesk Authorised Developer, we work directly with the platforms our software integrates — early API access, close collaboration with vendor engineering teams, and domain depth that takes years to build. That's the environment you'd be working in.

We predominately work with: Microsoft Azure (Function Apps, API Management, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Redis). REST and webhook-based integrations across CDE platforms. Metadata transformation and schema mapping. ISO 19650 data structures and document control workflows

We're also building the next layer of intelligence on top of that infrastructure — predictive analytics across fragmented CDE portfolios, developed in a formal research partnership with the University of Technology Sydney, buildingSMART Australasia, and Autodesk. If your background is in AI or machine learning, that work is live and the datasets are real.

If solving these types of issues sound like the kind of work you want to do, we'd like to hear from you.

Full Stack Developer role for Utopia Digital’s CDE Sync.

Company Description.

Utopia Digital is an Australian specialist enterprise software company transforming how infrastructure projects manage data. The team builds purpose-built integration platforms and digital ecosystems that streamline project delivery across transportation, energy, buildings, civil infrastructure, mining, aviation, defence, manufacturing, and construction.

Our flagship product, CDE Sync, is a Microsoft Azure-hosted cloud integration platform that eliminates fragmented, manual data workflows across leading Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms including Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, Oracle Aconex, InEight, 12d Synergy, SharePoint, Asite, and Procore. Utopia Digital holds a board position at buildingSMART Australasia and collaborates with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) on AI research in digital engineering. We partner with Microsoft, Autodesk, Bentley Systems, Oracle, and other global technology providers to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions for the AECO sector.

Role Description.

This is a full-time remote role for a Full-Stack Developer at Utopia Digital. You will design, build, and maintain end-to-end web applications and services that power CDE integration and data synchronisation across enterprise platforms.

Day-to-day responsibilities include building front-end interfaces in React, developing and optimising back-end APIs and microservices in C#, integrating third-party CDE platforms, and supporting secure, scalable cloud deployments on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with our product, architecture, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust, production-grade solutions - writing clean, testable code, participating in code reviews, and contributing to the technical direction of Utopia Digital's core products. You will also support troubleshooting of production issues, performance optimisation, and continuous improvement practices across the engineering team.

Qualifications.

  • Strong C# development experience in a production environment is essential

  • Proficiency in front-end development using React.js (JavaScript/TypeScript)

  • Solid SQL experience including database design, querying, and optimisation

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and version control using Git

  • Solid back-end experience including RESTful APIs and integration with third-party platforms or cloud services

  • Familiarity with data integration, event-driven architectures, or microservices in complex enterprise environments is advantageous

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with strong debugging and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a remote, cross-functional team

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
